Our Mission Old

Today, we have more power than ever to use our healthy snacks as a force for good.
I founded Brass Roots to help adults & kids from all walks of life live healthier & happier. I want us to accomplish this not only through our nutritious snacks, but also through our supply chain and our ongoing partnerships with youth organizations.
The ripple effect of positive impact is truly tremendous.

Our Supply Chain
We source our Sacha Inchi seeds from our farming partner in Thailand and Laos, who uses the proceeds to establish and fund schools in his community. To learn more about the social impact of Sacha Inchi, click here!
Our Community Partners
At Brass Roots, we believe that an empowered, healthy, and happy youth population is of incredible importance. We also recognize that not everyone has easy access to healthier foods.
To positively impact our community and address this gap, we partner with local youth organizations to provide nutritious alternatives to traditional snacks through donation programs, as well as nutritional, wellness and entrepreneurial education where it’s needed most.
Below are some of the organizations with whom we have partnered and who are doing truly inspirational work in our home city of New Orleans.
Roots of Music: Provides musical education, among many other things, to children from low income households.
Covenant House New Orleans
Covenant House Nola: Helps homeless youth with immediate and long term housing and needs, with the goal of long term independence.
Youth Run Nola: Builds a community of healthy, young leaders through running, with a guided training program and monthly events guided by teacher-coaches and volunteers.
Part of building a strong community is investing in other local businesses as well. Here are some of the New Orleans area creatives we have worked with and would love to shout out!
Comfy Stone Films: A film and commercial video production company specializing in the art of content creation for web and social media ad campaigns.
